Office Based Opioid Treatment Program(OBOT)

We are currently not accepting any new patients for the OBOT program. We apologize for any inconvenience.  Please feel free to call our office for referrals.

One of the great problems our country is facing today is the opioid epidemic. More people have died from opioid overdoses than from car accidents and gun deaths combined since 2015 and the situation is getting worse each year. One of the major problems is that people who become addicted don’t know where to go to seek help. As professionals with over 30 years of treating addiction, we’ve decided that we need to be part of the solution and made the decision to open an Office Based Opioid Treatment Program to make treatment more accessible for those who can’t afford or get away to a 30 day inpatient program. If you or someone you love is struggling with opioid addiction, whether to pills or to heroin, call Living Free today.

We at Living Free’s OBOT program offer our clients the choice between two separate tracks. The client, in consultation with a medical professional licensed or certified clinician can choose which track they want to follow.

Track One

The second track is Medication Assisted Treatment, in which Suboxone is prescribed as a maintenance medication. Suboxone will help minimize your cravings and will also block the opiate high, ensuring that you won’t fall back and relapse. The length of time that you stay on MAT is a decision that you and the medical professional you’ll be working with will determine, whether that’s six months, a year, two years, or longer. Patients enrolling in the MAT program are also required to attend our IOP, as again, evidence shows that regardless of whether one is simply detoxing or going on MAT, counseling is necessary for sustained recovery from opioid addiction.

Track Two

The second track is Medication Assisted Treatment, in which Suboxone is prescribed as a maintenance medication. Suboxone will help minimize your cravings and will also block the opiate high, ensuring that you won’t fall back and relapse. The length of time that you stay on MAT is a decision that you and the medical professional you’ll be working with will determine, whether that’s six months, a year, two years, or longer. Addiction is a chronic, progressive and potentially fatal disease. Opiate addiction is complex, but as scientists and doctors learn more, evidence is mounting that medication in combination with intensive counseling is the most effective treatment.
