Institute
The Living Free Training Institute provides continuing education contact
hours necessary for both certification and re-certification of counselors
and nurses in the areas of alcoholism and drug abuse. Supervised practical
training, clinical supervision, and group co-facilitation are also provided.
Most of our work is by contract on or off site.
The Institute is approved by the District of Columbia Certification
Board (DCCB/PADC) as a provider to award educational contact hours for
counselor education, both for certification and recertification purpose.
DCCB/PADC is a member of the International Certification Reciprocity
Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (ICRA/AODA). Most of ICRA/AODA
state boards will accept another member Boards approved Providers.
Living Free was incorporated in the spring 1986 and has been providing
treatment, education, training and clinical supervision for over 19
years. A brief sampling of organizations that have contracted with the
Institute for training in preparation for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse
Certification, Recertification, and Review prior to examination are:
